Through strategic initiatives, impactful partnerships and ally building, we aim to remove cultural, socioeconomic and educational barriers, ensuring that every woman has the resources and opportunities needed to thrive in the entrepreneurial landscape.
Our Board Members
Megan Del Borrello
Megan Del Borrello is the CEO and Founder of We Are Emersyn and the Chairperson of the We Are Emersyn Foundation.
Megan’s mission is to advance women through entrepreneurship.
With over 20 years experience, Megan is a professional marketer, strategist and experienced entrepreneur who has worked in south east Asia, and is an advocate for female entrepreneurs.
In 2014 Megan left her role as a Managing Director and started Gloss Marketing Communications, working with clients across fintech, food & beverage, fashion, not for profit and professional services.
Megan has been a speaker and presenter for the Accelerator for Enterprising Women, Centre for Entrepreneurial Research & Innovation, Google Women Techmakers, Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce, City of Canning and Curtin Ignition, to name a few.
A mentor for ScaleUP WA, Future Female Leaders Program, and an advisory board member for Ubuntu Ventures, Megan was an inaugural Meshpoints Steward (until May 2024) and previously served on the board and as the marketing and communications chair for the not for profit, 100 Women.
As a Mum of two, Megan knows first-hand how challenging being a female founder is. And it’s this reason that she is changing the narrative on female founders and creating an ecosystem for them to be supported and thrive.
Grace Mugabe
Grace Mugabe (CPA GAICD) is an award-winning Financial Literacy Educator, Money Coach and Accountant with personality and sass.
Her organisation, Financially Empowered, specialises in dismantling the financial knowledge gap, impacting women particularly those that are underrepresented. Through the use of interactive, immersive workshops, programs and tools, she equips women to build financial confidence, boost their earning potential and secure their future.
In 2015, Grace pivoted from her finance role in an industry-leading multinational corporation to redirect her expertise to financial literacy education; later developing the award-winning Migrant Money Matters program.
Financially Empowered has partnered with governments, schools, community organisations, and the private sector to deliver engaging financial education programs.
Marlon Juenemann
Marlon is the Managing Director of Ubuntu Ventures and a global citizen, driven by his passion for entrepreneurship, leadership, and strategy. With a strong focus on mentoring and strategic advisory, he thrives on guiding individuals and organizations towards growth and success.
With over 15 years of experience in management consulting and startups, Marlon has made his mark as both a founder of a strategy consulting boutique firm and several successful ventures, including a fintech and a SaaS B2B platform business. His key focus has been on the Asia Pacific, European, and Middle Eastern regions.
Marlon possesses a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit and operational management skills. Equipped with a Bachelor of Business Administration and an MBA in Project and Process Management, he has honed his abilities through years of international venture building experience. He is skilled at building and scaling companies, fostering cross-border teams, and nurturing talent through mentoring and development.
As a seasoned leader and accomplished business strategist, Marlon excels in breaking down complex problems, challenging the status quo, and delivering practical, commercially viable solutions. He has extensive experience in leading and guiding businesses across the technology, finance, and professional services sectors, from inception to capital raising, market entry, stakeholder management, organizational development, and operational expansion.
His collaborative work with accelerators and entrepreneurial programs brings him immense joy, knowing the profound impact these participants have on the business world.
