Alumni

Once you complete the program you become part of the We Are Emersyn Alumni community. Your journey as a founder is ongoing and so is our support.

It’s about implementing sound strategies, making data-driven decisions and creating a sustainable business model.

  • Two Tracks: Early Growth & Growth
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Day/time: Sessions are held Thursdays 9:30am AWST. (2024 cohort)
  • Sessions: Weekly sessions alternate between expert led learning, implementation lab and office hours. This does not include the 1:1 mentoring with our Growth Partners. 
  • Hybrid format: combination of face to face and online or a fully digital enabled program. Designed for you, anywhere you are. 
  • In Person Business Building Workshop*: kick off the program, meet your cohort, and set strategic OKR goals to guide your growth journey.

Here's the deal.

While we appreciate the value of all businesses, our programs are designed for female-led ventures with the potential for high growth and significant impact driven by innovative and scalable business models.

You probably won’t see immediate results and sticking to the path and following the recommended process can be a challenge for some.

Building a successful business takes time and dedication. There are no quick fixes or overnight successes. Success is often the result of consistent effort and strategic planning. Our structured approach will guide you through the process, helping you make informed decisions and achieve sustainable results.

Program fee

This is an equity free, fee based program (normally $9900) that has a number of co-funded scholarships available. 

The following co-funding support is available:

  • Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is co-funding 50% of the $9900 program fee for up to eight female founders and co-founders seeking growth in the agribusiness, food production, food value adding and food processing sectors. (2024 cohort)

Who the program is for.

Our program goes beyond capital-raising, specifically tailored to empower female founders who are building high growth potential businesses.

  • Revenue generating and up to $600,000 annually. (the cohort will be split into 2 tracks depending on stage of business and revenue)
  • You are the founder or co-founder.
  • You’re building a high growth or scalable business. (scaling does not = launching an online course)
  • Your company is for-profit or has a for-profit component.
  • Committed to investing in yourself and completing and attending all aspects of the program.
  • You're open to honest and direct feedback and are willing to put in the work to get things done.
  • You are clear on your existing business model and target audience.
  • You're not growing as quickly as you'd like and when you try to work on direction & focus, you end up spinning your wheels.

This is not about going as fast as you can. The focus is on what you must do to get consistent business growth. 

We have very intentionally designed the program to be a 12-month container. This allows you to build and strengthen capability, keep focused and on track whilst not burning out.

When does the next cohort commence?

The 2024 cohort commences September 2024.

Who is the program not for?
  • If you’re a founder in the early stages of developing a business idea or are not revenue generating, our Elevate Female Founders Program is not the fit for you. 
  • If you’re not interested in growing your business and prefer to keep it at a small or local level or remain a solopreneur.
  • While we serve a wide range of industries, we are not the optimal resource for companies who are bricks and mortar (ie. face to face trade, retail, hospitality), not for profits, independent consultants, those who are looking to stay solopreneurs or just want to create an online course. 
  • If you’re looking for a quick-fix solution or a magic program that promises instant success without putting in the necessary effort, we are not the right choice for you. There are no shortcuts here.
  • Know-It All’s: You care more about proving you’re right versus getting results.
  • We are definitely not for MLMs, network marketers or franchise.
Are there virtual cohorts?

Yes. We have both in person and virtual cohorts that run at the same time. If you’re outside of Perth – regionally or interstate you can join the virtual cohort. 

What is the size of the cohort?

Our cohorts are kept small and capped at 12. We limit numbers so we can work closely with each participant.

Why is the program by application only?

We want to ensure that each participant meets the goals and objectives of the program and that it is suitable for them. Our program framework and curriculum are curated for particular industries and growth ambitions.  

How much time should I expect to invest each week?

To ensure that you get the most out of the program, it’s best if you can commit to attending at least 85% of ALL the sessions. For founders accepted into the program, we recommend you set aside between 4-6 hours per week.

I have a co-founder, are they able to join the program with me?

Yes, they sure can. In fact we recommend that co-founders participate in the program together. There is a small additional fee of $1000 ex gst for co-founders to join. 

Do you offer refunds?

We Are Emersyn 100% backs our programs and the curriculum. We know they get results, but only if the participant is dedicated and sticks to the process. We do not offer refunds. However, we understand that extraordinary circumstances do happen and as such we will review those circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

*2024 Cohort

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is proud to support We Are Emersyn’s Elevate Program – fostering the growth of female-led food and beverage businesses. The program aligns with DPIRD’s objectives to improve capability, competitiveness, and general capacity in small to medium enterprises.

To support the initiative, DPIRD is co-funding 50% of the program fee of up to eight female founders and co-founders seeking growth in the agribusiness, food production, food value adding and food processing sectors.

Eligibility

The support package is targeted at food and beverage manufacturers or businesses undertaking post-harvest, value-add processing of primary production.

Value-adding is defined as any activity that transforms primary production from its original or raw form (i.e. commodities) into a state which is perceived as more valuable to the end consumer (i.e. products), thereby accruing higher margins to the producer.

Food retailers and hospitality businesses are not eligible.
