Do you make time to read every week? For me I like nothing more than a soak in the tub with a great thriller! Then it dawned on me, I should be at least reading some books that will help make a better me, right?
I set about trying to find a broad range of books written by women, for women, specifically those in business. A few were right under my nose, self-published authors that I knew and respected as business women.
Here’s my list of books (yes, I have read them all!) you need to read as a female entrepreneur.
I first read this book maybe 8 years ago?? It’s about life, how to make the most of it, how to find your balance when you are working long days and trying to be happy and fulfilled. I really enjoyed this book and was mesmerised by her stories.
Mireille Guiliano was the former President and CEO of Clicquot, Inc (LMVH)
I first met Vida around 4-5 years ago as she was launching this book. I often refer back to it when I’m having a moment of doubt. This book focuses on mindset and is full of simple tools to quickly turn your life into the one you deserve. They are easy to learn and simple to apply.
Vida is an author, conscious game-changer and leader in inspirational mindset and authentic accountability through her business Inspiration Source.
This book was a gift from a friend and client and immediately after reading this book I was like phew, she goes through the same crap as me and admits it! I love that we get a look into her world and are encouraged to “wing it”. Emma Isaacs is arguably one of Australia’s top female entrepreneurs who founded Business Chicks. Highly recommended reading Winging It.
I’m on my second read through is this, highlighting as I got. This is an honest and practical guide to building a business. It includes Carrie’s personal stories, tips, and exercises to inspire you and get you in to action.
Carrie Green is a female entrepreneur who started her first online business at the age of 20, and within a few years grew her business to global level.
Boss Bitch by Nicole Lapin is another book I’ve heard good things about. I’ve ordered it and it’s on its way! I will let you know once I’m done reading it.
If there are books you can recommend, the reach out and let us know! We’re always up for some inspo, butt kicking an a dose of reality.
